About Us
In our effort to make the best ice cream available, Taos Cow Ice Cream Co uses all natural and rBGH free ingredients. We use only the finest fresh cream and milk from the Rasband Dairy in Albuquerque’s South Valley. We use organic egg yolks, pure cane brown sugar, all natural extracts and Madagascar vanilla bourbon.
We have been manufacturing and selling our all natural, rBGH free super premium ice cream here in NM since 1993 and it’s all produced at our location in Santa Fe. We use NM pistachios from Eagle Ranch in Alamagordo, pecans form New Mexico Pecan in Las Cruces, and Organic Lavender from the Purple Adobe Lavender Farm in Abiqiui and Los Poblanos in Albuquerque.
We have many NM inspired flavors such as Piñon Caramel, Cherry Ristra, Holy Mole, Mexican Chocolate, Chocolate Rio Grande, Cafe Ole, and Holstein Sunset. But, we also have more classic flavors like Raspberry, Peach, Cookies and Cream (we use Oreos – they’re so good), Coffee, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Lemon. And Sweet Cream for the purists.
At our Arroyo Seco location in the historic, Lovinio’s Market Building, we put the same effort into making the best food and drinks we can for you. We offer organic ingredients, high quality meats and cheeses, locally grown organic greens and eggs, home made baked goods (including the Ellie Bar), and our own Pot Pie line uses all natural, grass fed beef from Del Norte Meats. Plus, we have a selection of Vegetarian or vegan offerings!
To get you going, have a signature Organic Fair Trade coffee blend procured and roasted for us by Taos Mountain Roasters - and try the excellent, TMR Organic Fair Trade Espresso.
Our space under the cottonwoods by the Rio Fernando in Arroyo Seco is a community hub for locals and an adventure for tourists, sating your needs all day, every day (except Christmas). We also feature local artists with a new show every month.
Before work or skiing, after a hike or on a ride, para Lonche, after school, or to get food to go, packed for a hike if you like. Taos Cow has got you covered with free wifi, good food, stong coffee and ice cream.
